Welcome to Azelania version 5Azelania is a intermediate to advanced original fantasy roleplay. With a history going back to 2008. We care a lot about our members and try to be more like a family rather than a community of roleplayers. For that reason any drama that occurs will be dealt with swiftly. We want no one causing problems for others.
This thread here to inform you of what is expected from you once you join our community both in character and out of character. We hope that the rules are abide so that we do not need to deal with any offenders.
General Teachings

001 Maturity: This community is created for a mature audience and therefore we hope that you show a level of maturity which will reflect well on the site. This is expected from ALL members and any members (including staff) will be warned if there are any complaints passed forward to myself.
By maturity we mean no CHILDISH behavior, its a pet peeve that I would rather jump out of a building.. Be mature in the sense of mind set. No cybering, as we may have young members.
Notice: Any sort of bullying is not tolerated by any of the staff so if any issues are brought to us about bullying the punishment will be severe.
002 Impersonation: Under no circumstances is anyone allowed to impersonate someone else in this community. This is very childish. Harsh punishments will be given and we hope that you will show maturity in this matter and own up if you are a cause for suspicion.
003 Staff: The staff elected for the site have all been selected for their unique qualities, the end result is that there are qualified people ready to help with any questions, problems or requests you may have. Therefore we advise you all to show respect and are no rudeness.
Any decisions passed by staff are final, they are not to be discussed unless a member has a serious issue with the staff's choice. Staff are chosen by their skills,activity and how well they work with the rest of staff. Asking for a staff position will make sure you aren't. Auditions are held when needed therefore audition then and do not ask for staff powers.
004 Flaming/Flamers: Flaming is absolutely not allowed! We cannot stress how important this rule is to us. Harassing a member or verbally abusing them will not be tolerated and will be punishable by account suspension, deletion and possibility of IP address block.
005 Spamming: Do not spam the boards out of character posts. If you are waiting for a reply then please do so patiently. As said before this is targeted for a mature audience which means a lot will have other things to do which will prioritize above role playing.
006 Absence: Post in the away board if you think you won't be on Azelania for a while {a week + more}
007 Activity: Activity influences many things on azelania, some races, quests, events & powers are only available to members that have remained active for an extended period of time.
Any account which remains inactive with no pre-warning after two weeks , An email will be issued stating that they need to contact a staff member asap in order to keep their account. If that is not achieved by the then the account will be deleted.
Minimum
008 Avatar/Sig Sizes: Avatars max size 100 width x 100 height. Sig max size 500 width. Any pictures stretching board will be removed.
Character Rules

001 Coloration: Azelania is a high fantasy roleplay, everything has a possibility. Some species may have unique characteristics or coloring which are the only options. Read the descriptions of the race you want to make sure there are no limitations posted.
002 Mary sue & Gary Stu: We do not approve nor accept Mary sue & Gary Stu characters. For those that do not know what this is please read the following description.
Such characters are created to be idealized and tend to be the creators interpretation of themselves or what they would wish to be in a fantasy. They can either appear as perfection, able to do most things with no flaws or weaknesses. They often try to upstage other characters and are loved by all. Read following for more information
If you are worried that your character might be close to one of these, than take a mary sue or gary stu test. See following for Test
003 Accounts: Only one account is needed on Azelania for your characters if you would like another account then message myself and tell me why it is you would like another account ie: graphics, male & female accounts etc.
004 Character creation: If an account is made and a character bio hasn't been created within a week of your joining date your account will be deleted. If you have certain days which you come onto Azelania please let us know. Every character must start with ONE element and quest the rest
005 Character Limitations: New members are allowed only one character until they have done at least one thread and accumulated 15 posts. For additional characters once you have 15 posts you are allowed to make any amount you wish. Though if a character becomes in active it will be removed.
Roleplaying Rules

001 Word Count: Azelania is a intermediate to advanced rp. Therefore the minimum your post can be is 250 - 300words. Although this may seem quite a lot, we know you are capable you joined knowing this is an intermediate to advanced roleplay.
We understand if you cannot always reply with that word count if the roleplay you are in is difficult or you have no muse. But keep in mind we will watch to see if this rule is kept by all members.
002 Powerplaying: Powerplaying is not tolerated. If you do not know what this is please read the following.
Powerplaying is when you take control of another persons character making them do something which would benefit your own character. example ; Losing a fight instantly because you wish it to happen. If permission is giving by the other member then please state so at the bottom of your post.
003 Azelania Money: You gain gold through posting threads around the forum. Gold can also be obtained through advertising, events and random prizes given by admins.
Post count is disabled in the spam/game area of the forum as it will have nothing to do with the actual roleplay itself. Only posts that connect with the forum are rewarded by gold, ie; roleplays, character creation, character plots etc;
004 Post Titles: When titling your thread please note if the thread is open or closed so that members know if they can join in. If you have created a thread for a specific member then please put their name in the title. When a thread has finished the title shall be edited and changed to Ending or Finished.
Examples:
- Last wish{Open}
- Last wish{Closed}
- Last wish{Ending}
- Last wish{Private/Name}
Royalty Rules

001 Leader Auditions: If auditions are open and you are looking for a higher positions ie; King, Queen, Duchess, Duke etc, you will need to do some things. When auditioning is open you will need to make a post with your character which you want the position for.
In the said post you will need to write an in character post which states what your character would do with that position, dreams, aspirations etc. The minimum requirement is 500 words this will be checked. It's not hard as you will have a lot to write about.
Leader positions are only available to those that have already joined up with a Kyra (Kirin) Of the land.
002 Land: For members which have king/queens, you will need to make a thread stating what the morals, ethics, dreams, aspirations & what requirements are needed to be a member of that kingdom. This will need to be in depth so there is a background into the kingdom that is being governed.
You will also need to provide us with descriptions of at least three possible sub boards describing the area in which you control.
003 High Ranks: These are obtained through roleplaying and may need permission from staff or royalty. One member can only have one queen/king OR duke/duchess x2.
For example.
1- Queen Kibariea. -Duchess Ice
2-Duchess Ice -Duchess Art
You are only allowed one of the highest rankings. Meaning only one king/queen never more than that.
Pet Rules

001 Pets: Pet's are able to be adopted through the adoption agency, post within the thread asking to reserve your desired pet. The pet will then need a bio, so use the pet template and complete it. Once accepted you can use your pet character.
Pets are created so that players wanting to play as animals have that option, they can become pets to others and even as their plots progress find humans forms or speech abilities.
002 Abilities: Abilities can be purchased for the pets, ie: speech, human forms etc. This is found in the shopping thread and by quests.
