Iris was walking through Lorenthia, the snow crunching under her feet. Despite it slightly snowing, and the cold pinching her cheeks, she didn't mind it at all. In fact she enjoyed the cold, and it allowed her to concentrate on her current objective even more. She had just found a pair of cold and hungry orphans, desperately needing help. So, obviously, she made it her responsibility to care for them... or at least do whatever she could do for them.

So she continued pacing to the nearest supply house, where they hid their food from the winter cold. She pushed the wooden door open, gathered bread and cheese, and decided to warm up milk and put it in a bottle for the children to share. On the way out she grabbed two blankets and made her way casually through Lorenthia, and closer to the outskirts where the two orphans were. She had done this many times before, so people did not complain or seem suddenly puzzled out when seeing her carry food and blankets through the city.

Technically, what she was doing was extremely dangerous, or so she was told by some people that brought her in when her parents died. She wasn't supposed to go near the city border, in case Aira were looking for her. However, she would not ignore people in need, since she herself was in need once and people offered her comfort. Something she needed just like these two orphaned children need.

"Here you go," she said, handing the food and wrapping the children in the blankets," If you ever need anything ill be here," She rubbed their heads, earning the rewarding grins and thank yous. As they ate she looked around at the path that led into the world outside of Lorenthia. This however did not disturb her, as people rarely took that path, so there was no need to worry she thought to herself, and focused on the two orphans.

Supposedly one of the sisters was there. It was getting colder and it started to snow. He didn’t his men see it, but it wasn’t enjoying it. He could feel his nose and ears getting colder, probably turning red. He didn’t need to search far, up ahead there she was. It had to be her; she looked exactly how she was described. He watched her from the distance, seeing how she taking care of two children. “How sweet.” He mocked and telling his men to set camp somewhere excluded and away from everyone. Gabriel didn’t waste any time, he got closer to her. What was his plan going to be, befriend her? He put his fake smile on, standing behind her. “Here.” He spoke up, giving his ration to one of the homeless children. Gabriel looked at Iris, “You must really care about people, and not many people are like that. It’s a blessing.” He spoke, trying to sound soft for her.

◥◤Iris spun her head around, and stood up to look at the person who suddenly appeared right next to her and the two orphans. She didn't know this person, so even if he showed kindness first thing, she had to be wary of him. He was twice her height, and muscular too. Something seemed similar about the way he dressed but it seemed to be a fragment of her memory that she didn't really remember, so she let it go. 

"Who are you?" she asked, looking past him to see if anyone else was with him. No one seemed to be there, only distant noises of a group were heard. Travellers, she figured. They came near Lorenthia but never past this way. Which led her onto her next question.

"Why did you come here? Rarely anyone comes past this way," Iris interrogated even further, stepping back a little. She knew she shouldn't be doing this, talking to someone from outside of Lorenthia. She could bring upon danger to the city, the people who she had made friends with and to herself too.  But she was curious, the only people she can speak to about things outside of her city were her sisters, Melody and Alathea and even they were busy themselves having less time to talk to her these past few weeks.

To be the fact he has no idea where the girl is, but no one cared enough to bother with that. The city was still ruined and he doubted a girl like Miss Mori could rebuild it on her own. "Sorry I startled you, that wasn't my intention," Gabriel said, still smiling at her. He looked around, "Ah, I remember when this place was beaming with culture and colour. I hope its charm will come back...eventually." He used his charm to talk, hoping it had some kind of effect. Gabriel looked back at her smiling. "What can I call you?"

◥◤She thought for the moment. Gabriel gave her no reason to suspect him, and also provided her with fairly legitimate information about why he came about here. She wasn't sure if his kindness was genuine, but she felt like she was really rude without having a reason so she decided to ease up a little.

"No no it's fine, i apologize for being so weary around you and asking so many questions, it's just that rarely anyone comes through this part of Lorenthia," She explained, "My name is Iris-" she hesitated for a while, remembering the words of the people who rescued her the night of her parents death and have cared for her ever since. Never share your identity with anyone, this is for your safety, promise us, they told her clearly and repeated it ever since. Gabriel however, he told her his family was old friends with hers, meaning they were very trusted individuals... and he was looking for her.

She wanted to know why but at the same time she knew it was a risk to say it so bluntly. Iris decided on one last question.

"I'm sorry for asking so many questions, I promise its with a reason and that this is the last one, but why do you want to see the princess?"

On the inside he was a little agitated that she didn't pay attention to his words, he didn't like repeating himself. "To aid Keiko Mori, this is her city, or was her city." He knew the history about this city and he knew who ruled it. With her parents out of the picture, this city legally belonged to her. Although she didn't seem to be doing a fine job in rebuilding it. He paused, looking up ahead of him. "You're not from here either... I could ask the same for you." He spoke, his tone was serious but not frightening. He looked back at her, forcing a smile on his lips. It will take days to gain her trust, that was for sure.

Iris made her mind up to not let go of her identity so easily. She has been told many times to not say anything, and besides even though this guy was handsome and seems genuinely nice, she had only just met him and apart from the news he gave her, that wasn't enough for her to fully trust him. Although, she had a feeling, something telling her that Gabriel knew much more about her than she thinks he does.

"Oh, I'm not originally from here... I... I was brought here as a child and have stayed here ever since," She answered his question, making sure to not say too much. She felt like she was slightly annoying the man with her persistence, so she tried to take another approach of trying to help him in what he wanted to do.

"I would love to take you inside and show the way so you could finish your quest, but I'm afraid that that would be very hard for, well, a person hardly anyone would recognize," She smiled sheepishly, feeling a bit stupid at the little amount of help she could offer, "I'm sorry for being a bit useless right now, I promise I'm not always like this. Is there anything that you'd like me to do though?"

He smiled as she explained who she was. It wasn't a lot of information but it confirmed who she was. Gabriel already knew who she was.



"Don't worry about it." Gabriel spoke, he looked at her. "I already know where to go." He paused, "Just be yourself and be a friend." He spoke cheery "Those are hard to find." He patted her back.



"Well I have to go find my guards." He said, turning around to leave. "See you around." He spoke, waving at her as he walked off. His men set up camp nearby, it would days to win the trust of the people. They weren't exactly enemies, as the airas weren't the one that attacked this city.



There he was at the market, getting to know the people. Talking and finding out as much information that was beneficial.
