He heard about it, a place where people can feel welcomed and not judged. A place where he can be himself, his true self. He just has to find it. He was unfamiliar with this place, as when he was growing up, he was confined to the city and its near outskirts. The family wasn't able to provide him with money to explore, or to pay to heal his injuries if he were to have any. So he stayed, not knowing what else was in the world. Not knowing what other people fought for.
But now, he was free. After fleeing the Hellish Court, Melidas was able to do whatever he pleases, wherever he wanted. But that was just the thing; he didn't know where to start. All he did was quest in the beginning, trying to get some gold to be self-sufficient, but that wasn't the life for him. He needed a purpose, and perhaps this place might just be the place.
Only thing was, he was lost. He ended up in an eerily place, a place where things used to be. A place where fear was heard and smelled; and boy, he reeked of it. He didn't know where he was, but he had to keep going if he were to find the place that he has heard of, if it existed. He had his hands prepared for anything, ready to unsheathe his greatsword at a moments notice, if something were to surprise him, or is something wanted to kill him.
He had to find his way. He had to find a true purpose.
