[attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ The world was cruel, the world was unjust and completely impure. Nothing could prepare Alethea for what she had to face when she returned home. Bodies scattered everywhere, the ground stained red by the blood of her people. The houses burnt to the ground and the only living survivors captured by the aira. She could only watch, her guards pulling her away from the scene forcing her to flee knowing they needed her to be kept safe. But there was more to it, leaving her people at the hands of the aira was painful and shattered her soul. But what hurt even more was the pull she felt from her dragon, with the aira in her home they broke the connections to the spirits. They had drawn as many spirits away as possible, Lycoris as one of the eldest spirits was one of the first captured not for lack of power but she was the first to stand against the invaders. She felt her chest constricting. They captured her oldest friend and with her body weakened by the separation her guards could easily manipulate her to where they wanted. They grabbed her wrist and under her weakness she could do nothing but follow as they had grown stronger than her as she grew weaker. Her mind was plagued with the events in her head over and over again, the death, the capture and then the separation. She could no longer hear her reassuring voice, she could no longer speak to her oldest friend. She was alone in a village with people looking at her as if she were something new to play with. Her guards sat across from her at the bar talking with the barkeep while Alethea sat at a table alone ignoring the whispers of strangers. She kept her eyes shut as she tried to make some kind of contact with Lycoris.. Nothing just never ending silence.. She took a large gulp of her hot drink, she tightened her cape and while her guards were distracted slipped out of the inn and headed into the village on her own just needing fresh air and some sense of freedom. She felt the cold more now, her body shivered everything seemed intense now that her and Lycoris had been separated. Her heart raced all the time, her eyes grew heavy and before she knew it she found herself resting on a bench overlooking some young children playing. "I need you back.." Her voice was quiet, her eyes grew heavy she closed them slowly only reopening them when her heart rate kept her from being able to settle into a dream. Her hand shook by her side, all she could do was rest it on her lap and hold it with her other hand hoping her anxiety would settle. Tears threatened to fall, but she was not that kind of person. She didn't cry, she couldn't give up or just let life take her. She took a deep breathe and pushed herself up before blindly heading back not really paying any attention to her surroundings if someone was in front of her or if someone followed. She just hoped they would move out of her way. ✉ tag -- ( Mitichi ) ✎ 481 words ※ nxoxox >3< |

Arbella roamed around the village, in her search for the rakuh that her race desired so much. It was one of many missions she had gone on in the past month, as she was deemed to be very good at completed her missions. Especially when it came to rakuhs and especially if she had a connection with them. That is also why her wings were hidden most of the time, only really showing them with a reason or when she was at home, where most had their wings on display. It was a sign of their purity after all. Besides, if she had them on display whilst walking around a village like this, their goal would not be as efficient. The rakuhs knew why the aira wanted them, so they ran and hid from them. It would make the hiding part so much easier for the rakuhs if aira walked around with wings on display like fools.
She sighed when she saw ahead of her a pale looking girl bump into a tall, fat guy who was equipped with four of his also big and fat friends. From the look on the guys face, he wasn't about to forgive the girl and walk along, and the girl, even though looking slightly weak, didn't seem like she was going to pass without a sorry either. She watched carefully, getting closer in case a fight was about to unfold. She saw the guy the girl bumped into say a joke, to which all of the guys laughed, some spitting in the process. Upon closer inspection, some of them had food in their beards, stains on their clothes and even bruises in some places. To say the least, these guys were bad news and simply put... impure.
The girl muttered something back, an unwise move in Arbellas opinion. This seemed to agitate the guys, so much so that one of them decided to take a swing at the girl. The girl dodged easily, and this surprised Arbella a bit but she could also see how much energy this was taking for the girl. Arbella had no doubt that she could protect herself but somethings was holding her back. Before another guy tried to hit the girl from behind, Arbella got close enough to block the attack with her arm. Just touching his stained clothes and feeling his bad breath touch her hairs on her hands sickened her.
"I'm sorry for interrupting but dont you men have better things to do other than picking on a girl who accidentally bumped int you," She said, her voice firm.
"Ha! Another girl to have fun with!" One of the guys laughed, his voice muted and rough. It disgusted her.
Without thinking she took her knife out with its cover, and hit the guy who still had his hand on her over the head with the hilt of the covered knife. This stunned the guy and he passed out, Arbella hadn't hit him hard enough so he could die. It was only a threat. She turned to the other guys who seemed angry with her actions, but surprisingly they still had a brain and thought again to challenge her. Their faces scrunched up and before leaving they spat at Arbellas legs, leaving behind their mate. She was glad their dirty presence was gone.
"Everything ok?" She asked the girl.

[attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Most of what happened was a blur to her. Bumping into someone wasn’t common for her, her elegance was renowned back home. She was born to be the next ruler of her people and had been raised with that pressure on her back. Clumsiness was not something she was used to but her lack of energy and the heaviness in her head made her lose focus. A man spoke to her, his rudeness was obvious and yet she cared little for his idle threats. Even without her strength she could defeat him even without the strength she usually possessed. Dodging he main male and his men she paid little attention to what they truly wanted because if it were an apology they would leave this place rather bruised and broken. Before she could break his nose or a wrist for trying to grab her another person stepped in and the group slowly dispersed not frightened to show their distaste at both her and the person that had intervened. Her eyes grew heavier and she found herself fighting to stay awake, she took a deep breath and turned to face the person who had saved her. She rubbed the back of her neck letting her white/blue hair fall down her show as she untied her pony tail wrapping the ribbon around her wrist instead allowing the pressure on her head to lessen. “Thank you for intervening it’s not like me to be so.. mmm… airheaded?” She smiled warmly at the stranger. No matter what she went through Alethea had been far from sheltered her family allowed her freedom to explorer as long as she went with her trusted guards. Kindness was something her family was built around and politeness was something that had been ingrained in her from a young age. She fought the urge to extend her hand… Knowing it would follow with a name.. Not now… No it would seem weird.. One small truth to divert from a complete mystery… Don’t be interesting. Lessons taught by her teachers and advisers… Blend in and search for any information that would aid her. She extended her hand, her skin cold from the wind and from the slight fever she was running. Though her complexion was pale there was still a soft pink tone to it. “My name’s Vi, I’m staying at the inn nearby. Are you from around here or a fellow traveller?”She rubbed her arms as a chill ran past her skin. Her longsword rested against her hip in its scabbered but even its weight that she had grown so accustom to was growing too much for her in her current state. Would she become bed ridden soon… She broke free of her thoughts realizing she was dozing off and losing her concentration. “I should go back before my cold get’s worse. I owe you a drink for saving me” Her smile warm and welcoming completely friendly with no real intent apart from wanting to thank her while possibly learning something about their location. ✉ tag -- ( Mitichi ) ✎ 525 words ※ nxoxox >3< |

"I'm Arbella," Arbella replied, figuring that giving her name wouldn't hurt. No one knew much about her anyway, she had always completed missions quietly and preferably unnoticed. She noticed the girls politeness, it was rare to find a well mannered person like this in this area. The previous men an example. Growing up around nobles and high people, she was usually used to seriousness and formality, so finding some here surprised her. Or maybe she just didn't talk much with people outside of where she usually stayed. She took Alethea's hand and held it for a while, noticing its coldness. Though, as weak as Alethea looked now, her hand felt trained and not smooth like she expected it to be- a hand which knows how to hold a sword. This confused Arbella even more. Why is the girl before her in this state, when Arbella is certain she was not like this before. A cold? Maybe that was part of it, but something told her there was more, as if Alethea had been drained, as if she was missing something, a part of herself.
"You look very cold and weak. Are you alright?" She asked once again, returning the kindness. There was no doubting that she look poorly, and very cold, "Don't worry about the drink, we can have it another day, you don't look fit to drink today. Is the Inn close by? I was looking for a place to stay for the night."
Arbella smiled, taking this chance. Not only has she made contact with a person she could actually speak to and find information from later on but a possible place to stay. Besides, walking this girl to the Inn seemed like the best option. Not only would she get a better idea of the place her mission took place in, but also make sure that Alethea wouldn't collapse on the way there. She moved her hands to slip of her dark grey cape and handed it to Alethea.
"You need it much more than I do," Arbella said. The more friendlier she is, the more information she can gather. Just like she had always done.

[attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Alethea could feel the world moving around her, the energy of the earth and the whispers of the wind. She could feel the magic in Azelania but had no way of tapping into it. Trapped and grounded she found herself taking comfort in the stranger that showed kindness but over everything she had experienced she knew trust wasn't something easily earned. The one comfort was knowing her sisters had all been scattered, even if their enemies found her she knew little of where her sisters were located. Finding them was second, but first she needed to regain her spirits and release the others sealed away by the aira. She never thought her leaving home for a small mission would mean she would return to find her city and her people destroyed and injured. The only comfort to her was that her guard had survived, as one of the future rulers of their tribe each sister had their own personal guard that consisted of people close to them or people the family could trust. Alethea had been lucky, hers had been friends from childhood, the people that knew the most about her in some cases more than her own family as there were things she kept secret from them. Her solitude and pain sometimes made her reclusive, she kept things from her younger sisters to prevent them worrying or having to deal with the same stress she was under. Her parents so busy in leading their tribe meant she knew she had to work harder so she could help them. But now in this strange place with no one but her this stranger that had helped her she found herself only growing more homesick. Her thoughts broke when she heard the girl speak, but all it did was affirm the truth. This wasn't her place, these weren't her people and the longer she remained here in the open the more danger she would be in as well as the guard she had left back at the inn when she sneaked out. "There's an inn nearby, it's where I'm staying" She ignored the question of her health there was no explaining it without full on lying and she had no energy to try and make her lies believable all she really wanted was to fade alongside her spirits. Her thoughts broke once more for what seemed the hundredth time, this girl had a habit of just appearing and surprising her whenever her mind grew lost. She looked down at her cape and smiled passively as she threw it over her shoulders. "Thank you Arbella" Her voice was quiet and in some ways timid, her confidence hadn't disappeared but she had no energy to lift her overall energy. She took Arbella's hand and led the way to the inn making sure to dodge crowds or busy streets not wanting more people to notice her here. Just as they got close to the inn she heard rushed footfalls heading towards them and an energy that was all too familiar. She turned her body so her back was to Arbella as she faced the direction the person ran from. She noticed the persons hair before anything else, hair like fire Alethea's shoulders relaxed and she let out a sigh of relief. Ceres she could handle, Ceres wasn't as loud as the others. "Where did you go on your own, in your current state!" She scanned Alethea, her eyes resting on her hand entwined with a strangers. A cape on her shoulders and the overall protective nature of Alethea. "Only you could make friends this easily." Alethea giggled and led Arbella closer to Ceres and towards the inn the three of them walking together. "To be honest, if the guys hadn't tried to attack me I don't think we would have spoken." "Vi! You were attacked?! Are you injured?!" She took hold of Alethea's free hand and practically scanned her entire body before Alethea nudged her away giggling. "Stop worrying I'm fine Ceres just dizzy." Ceres rubbed the side of her head trying to stop a headache coming just from the sheer stress. "Thank you for looking after my friend, Vi let's go back and get you some medicine." Alethea just nodded her eyes growing heavier as they walked towards the inn the rest of the walk she remained quiet yet never let go of her hand until they reached the inn. Finally letting go of Arbella's hand she removed the cape from her shoulders and handed it to Arbella smiling as sweetly as she could muster before letting Ceres pull her into the inn and up to their room. ✉ tag -- ( Mitichi ) ✎ 755 words ※ YASSS |

Arbella watched Alethea and the girl who's name was said to be Ceres walk up the stairs and disappear out of her sight before heavily sighing and putting the cloak back around her shoulder. Looking around the room, she saw clearly what she had just gotten herself into. The inn was very warm, dimly lit lights that gave of a warm, orange light placed along the walls. She saw men placed around the corners of the inn filthied with alcohol in their beards or unwashed hair, some accompanied by woman. This wasn't to say there weren't any decent people around the inn, because there were, and she silently thanked those. She had heard that people hated this side of Aira especially, the part were they think anything unclean is worse than them. Arbella didn't agree with this to the full extent, many who were considered as not pure to the aira were much stronger than her, but being brought up on this she couldn't help bring it into her mind at times. She huffed, thinking back to her childhood. Arbella remembered how different she had been to one of her childhood friends. Her friend always secretly took an interest into those who aira hated, despite the fact that she was from a noble family. Whilst on the other hand, Arbella and her brother stuck to their teachings, and yet they spent most of their childhood years together.
Arbella took a seat somewhere in the middle of the spaced out room, ordering a glass of vodka which was promptly served to her. Well they have good service here at least... and a bed in which I can actually sleep in, hopefully, She thought, her thoughts quickly travelling to the pale blue haired girl she had just recently met, seeming so alive but not at the same time. Something was off about her and Arbella couldn't place her finger on it and she knew if she could just establish a foundation for a friendship she could get the answers she needed without pressing Alethea too much. This was mostly due to the fact that Ale looked like she wasn't up for taking on confrontation on her identity and how much she knows about Rakuhs, but also because this was how things always came about for Arbella. She would establish a connection with someone, to the point where some even considered them as close friends, and once she had got the information she needed she would disappear just like that. Like the perfect friend those people thought she was.
Arbella groaned as someone bumped into her whilst passing through to get a seat and further groaned when she saw her glass was already empty. She ordered another glass and took a sip of the liquid that stung her throat but felt nice as the same time. She would just had to wait out a bit and proceed as usual, and she continued mindlessly sipping the liquid whilst watching the same stairs that she had just left Alethea on moments ago.

[attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Being the future leader of the Rakuh came certain complications some that Alethea had accepted from her childhood. She was different than the rest, even her sisters. She had been born to die and yet the ancient spirits of their tribe chose to keep her alive with their blessing. She lived as long as her connection to the spirit realm remained, she was a living entity that allowed their tribe to thrive and their connections with the guardian spirits only stronger thanks to her 'blessing'. While other rakuh could survive without their guardian spirit, some could even find alternatives but for Alethea there was no alternative. There were no other spirits, all she new were the ancient spirits of her tribe. The spirits that had been her not only her friends but in some cases more her parents than her own. She remembered Lycoris's soft motherly voice, her soothing tone that always seemed to calm her anxiety something most never even thought was possible for Alethea. For she always showed confidence, she did what she needed to in order for their tribe to thrive. "Alethea are you even listening!" Ariadne the healer of the group let light dance on Alethea's skin warming her cold skin letting her light soothe Alethea's pain. Though she couldn't keep Alethea live she could heal her and take her pain away momentarily as long as they remained close. Though Ariadne knew Alethea from childhood, no matter how much she wished to change Alethea's opinion of her she knew they would never be more. No one could force Alethea to do something that was against her wishes even if it was for her own good. "Ari I'm fine. I needed air, I wasn't leaving you or Ceres behind" She pulled her hand free and moved to her bag pulling out a short cape throwing it over her shoulders. She hated this clothing she missed the freedom of her home. "Ale, we can't trust anyone. We need to leave now" Ariadne grabbed Alethea's wrist roughly making Alethea wince slightly causing Ariadne to let go and Alethea to rub her sore wrist. "Ari let Ale rest, she can handle herself. We need to trust her and each other." Ceres.. Her trusting friend that was always on her side. But she couldn't fight with either of them, not now not when everyone was in danger. "Ari you're right. But I'm a liability at the moment. You two should go search for any information on other rakuhs in the area. Maybe we can find others that escaped." Although the girls wanted to protest against leaving Alethea on her own they knew she was right and they needed more of their people if they were ever going to save their home and their spirits. Ariadne and Ceres with their hoods over their head left the inn not from the front but out of the window that led to an alley way leaving Alethea alone in the room. For a while she contemplated staying isolated and staying alone but she needed more.. She wasn't good alone, she missed her spirits she needed the noise in her head to return. She hated the silence. Closing her cape in front of her she headed downstairs and asked one of the waitresses for some food and a hot chocolate with brandy. As she was about to sit on a free table ignoring some interesting stairs she noticed the girl from earlier. She tapped on her shoulder before sitting beside her just as the food came, a plate with cheese, ham and some chicken soup that the waittress had brought on her own. "Thank you" She smiled warmly picking up the mug of hot chocolate holding it in her hands just for the comfort she felt. "You staying here long Arbella?"✉ tag -- ( Mitichi ) ✎ 690 words ※ YASSS |

"Just for a few days, I think," Arbella replied, her vision now focusing onto Alethea,"If nothing comes up." She was surprised at the sudden intrusion of her thoughts, but was glad to find that Ale wasn't the one to be very loud... well at least for now? Arbella didn't think she would start screaming or laughing highly pitched like the other women around them in the condition she was in. She also hoped anything wouldn't get in the way, she liked completing her missions quickly and returning home quickly... to be assigned on another. So far she had gotten little information, and she cant get back empty handed.
"How about you?" She asked, looking around the bar for the woman that had previously taken Alethea upstairs in a hurry and was confused to why Ale was suddenly here, when the girl with her seemed pretty stressed and worried about her being in a fight and meeting Arbella, "Did everything go alright with the woman from before?"
Maybe by asking starting questions Arbella would find some information soon, or form a bond with Alethea that would be strong enough to read her thoughts a little. Though she was hesitant of that idea, after all she could cause Aletheas obvious weak state to be even weaker or worse, and for the part where she helped the Aira get rakuhs and more, she wasn't that bad to cause someone discomfort that they already had. Though she had to see if Alethea possessed some kind of knowledge at some point. Hence the questions.
"Im sorry to ask so many questions," Arbella apologized, being genuine, whilst pouring more vodka into her shot glass. By now the lady had given her the bottle whole, seeing no point in running between Arbella and the other, "Its just I haven't spoken to someone new in a very long time."
She hated to lie, but it was a part of her job. The only truth could ever go to her brother and the rest of the aira. Her brother had warned her countless times to not to lie, that it would seem as she doesn't want their cause, doesn't want the bad people imprisoned. At that point she was confused, why she would lie to certain but others she wouldn't. As she grew up though, she learned that it was for the cause, and lying doesn't count if you do it to others that aren't aira. It stills feel shit though she thought, as she drank her recently filled shot glass. who loves Vicky? I DO [/div][googlefont=Open+Sans]

[attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Alethea took a sip of her hot drink before setting it down and started working through her food all the time paying close attention to the young girl from before as well as the waitress that had seemed focused on her from the moment she had arrived. It was hard trying to remain pleasant when you thought anyone noticing you meant a potential threat to not only you but the people you were trying to find and protect. Though in Alethea's current state she found even protecting herself a challenge that seemed to impossible for her to tackle. As she took a sip of her soup she pushed the rest of her plate not having finished it completely. Her body ached and her stomach was tense, it made her feel nauseous and at the same time she felt pain shooting through her. If she stayed here longer, if they couldn't find Lycoris she would't last through the winter. She rubbed her arms even with her own cape over her shoulders it did little to settle the cold that seemed permanent on her skin. Arbella's voice was something that broke her pain, her self thought and her soon to be death if nothing changed. "Oh don't worry about her, she tends to worry about me. I've gotten used to it. We've been together since childhood so she knows how to deal with me I guess." She watched as Arbella took another glass seemingly drinking in a similar way to how she would with her friends back at home especially after a successful mission. The thought brought a smile to her face but was quickly short lived when she realised she would never experience that again, some of her friends were lost to her either captured or killed. Her survival was unlikely and as much as she wished to drink it all away nothing would save her. "Don't apologise, it's nice having someone to talk to that's not.." She stopped mid sentence noticing someone sit on the large piano in the corner. They pressed the keys, the individual chords pulled at her heart making her feel tense and uncomfortable.. Music was a part of her people yet to the majority of the world music had been forgotten. She lost her focus and seemed to just stare at the person playing the piano, missing keys and playing rather roughly with the piano. It was no master piece it was messy, loud and choppy but even so it seemed to call to her. Her voice burning to sing, burning to be let out but no not here, not ever if she couldn't have her spirit returned. Rakuh voices were haunting and alluring, if any enemies were here hiding waiting to find one of her people that was one of the surest signs.. She sighed and turned to face her. "Sorry, the piano has always fascinated me. um.." Her cheeks flushed slightly embarrassed she lost her composure, her hand still rested on her cold arm and her sword felt heavier on her side but it was the only comfort in this strange place. Her heart ached, and she felt sadness just overwhelm her. Not here. Not now. She wouldn't break, she leaned into Arbella practically brushing up against her as she reached for the bottle and grabbed a glass from the bar pouring some for herself before completely downing it once. "yep, still tastes the same. " She said smiling her eyes drifting once again to the waitress that walked around the tavern but still kept her eyes on Alethea. ✉ tag -- ( Mitichi ) ✎ 720 words ※ YASSS |

"You sure you should be drinking?" Arbella smiled as Alethea moved away, "It looks like you know how to as well. Cheers to a new temporary drinking partner." Arbella finished, taking down another shot of vodka. She enjoyed Aletheas company, finding it much more pleasant than any other she had been around outside the aira. By now she was starting to feel the alcohols effect but she wasn't one to be influenced easily. Arbella followed Aletheas gaze which pointed towards the waitress that had served her her food. She was different from the other woman in the inn, quite pretty as well.
Arbella shook her head, turning back to face Alethea, wondering why she was always so wary of everyone. Though once she played it out in her head for a while, why shouldn't she? She was currently not in the best state and that meant she was vulnerable... but then why would she have the need to be wary, was she hiding something? Arbella sighed loudly, her head was starting to hurt from all of this thinking and she didn't like it. So she changed the subject.
"Oh so you're interested in the piano?" Arbella asked, taking interest in this subject as she enjoyed music herself. She could not sing or play an instrument but did this not stop her from enjoying it to the utmost.
"Well you seem as if you want to join in," Arbella began, "So why dont you? Come on."
With that she pulled Ale by the hand and shot a look to the person playing the paino. He immediately moved away, leaving with a kiss of his teeth which Arbella found amusing in her drunken state. She nudged Alethea to take the seat. Arbella meanwhile leaned over the piano, waiting patiently to see how Ale can play the piano. It had been long since she had shared music with someone. who loves Vicky? I DO [/div][googlefont=Open+Sans]

[attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ It came as a surprise to her, this person that seemed so comfortable around her. Even in her current hiding people kept away from here. She knew she happened to be intimidating to most outsiders and even her own people kept her on a pedestal one where she stood apart from everyone. Alone but surrounded by people that would never try to get close enough to fully know and understand her. She took her hand so easily and pulled her to the piano she watched as the man left and rather a rather pushy Arbella push her to sit. She took a seat and looked at Arbella her heart racing at the thought of playing music, at the thought of her voice escaping.. Someone wanted to listen to her sing, to sing for them but she had no idea what she was asking. Her people only sung during festivals or events, for someone important or someone they loved. Alethea only sung for the spirits, during events and for her baby sisters. 'It wouldn't hurt. No one here that knows of my people'She pressed a key just listening to the tone of the piano, off key but she could still work with it. How would she even sing.. What would she even think of her. 'Why do I care what Arbella thinks, why am I so nervous.'She took a deep breathe closed her eyes and played a few keys just trying to get used to the piano. It was old and broken, but even a broken piano was better than none in the current state Azelania was in. She began to play the piano making a song from the top of her head, singing was like breathing to rakuh. Music and artistry was something that ran in their blood something they needed to have in order to survive as well as have a strong connection with the spirit realm. The tone was slow, and soft the keys blending together to make a beautiful tone. 'Each time I learn words I didn't know I reach my hands into traces of the past But there may also be words That I can't understand on my own'She avoided looking at Arbella or the people that had stopped their conversation to listen to her. Her voice sounded different, sounded more human than her usual rakuh voice. Good that was what she wanted but she still felt her heart race knowing people were listening to her singing. 'Sadness is cold, And "Thank you"s are colored with warmth Each time I come into contact with something intangible Your voice resonates deep within my heart'The song was slowly nearing its end her heart was soaring, though nervous it was overwhelmingly ecstatic to be able to sing or be a part of her true self instead of the person that hid.. The person that was weak and dying... 'I've stopped writing Unfinished letters And the unaddressed letters flutter in the breeze Towards the town of who I want them to reach To tell of the end of the beginning
I will not give up on living So I can show you how 'proud I am of myself today
Why am I crying? What should I answer my heart? Words don't have to always be spoken, Just by being there, they will only grow stronger And it makes me long for you more'She finished her song with a slow end once the music stopped the people began clapping and cheering for her making her cheeks flush yet she still avoided eye contact with Arbella. Just for her ears she spoke quietly while the rest of the inn was rather loud. "My mother taught me to make music." 'Gah I shouldn't have done that, I should just go back to my room.. I don't even know what she thinks... It's so embarrassing...'✉ tag -- ( Mitichi ) ✎ 647 words ※ YASSS |

Arbella chuckled softly at Aletheas flustered expression and the avoidance of eye contact. It was true, that at some point Arbella had completely lost herself in watching and listening Alethea play the piano, and sing so beautifully that Arbella only noticed somewhere towards the end how fixed she was on Aletheas face. The way her lips moved whilst she sang, the way her eyes held longing for some one. A lover? Most likely to be a lover, since Alethea looked to be very talented. The words of the song captivated her as well, there was so much need for the person she sang to and Arbella thought that the song exclaimed this perfectly. It left her wanting to know more about Alethea, and what more could she do, what other music could she perform. Wanting to hear her sing once more. And somewhere in the back of her mind, an intrusive thought came along. Maybe I will be able to read her thoughts soon and get more information. It wasn't a complete lie, that she would be able to gain more information if Alethea thought of her, but Arbella knew that there was also one other reason: she wanted to know more about her as a person, and what she was like really.
Normally this would be the part of her mission where Arbella would back away from the person, because on her missions developing curiosity or an actual relationship would make it very hard, like it had many times before. Not for her, but mostly for the people who thought that she had become one of their "friends", through deception and lying. Curiosity had gotten her in trouble many times back at home, especially when she was with her childhood friend, who had no control of her curiosity whatsoever and only got away with it for so long because she was in a good position, and Arbellas brothers liking towards her. Though as if on cue, Arbellas mind linked with Aletheas as she thought of her. Arbellas drunken smile only widened as she heard her shy thought.
"That was absolutely breathtaking, Vi," Arbella said, as if to answer Aletheas thought, "You're mother did an absolutely fantastic job at teaching you,who knew you had that in you?"
And really who knew? At least Arbella didn't. Not with how secluded and weak Alethea was as of now. That was another thing Arbella was curious about. The fact that, in this short amount of time, she noticed how much Alethea was holding back on everything she did and something told her it was more than her being weak.
"Are you finished with everything?" Arbella asked, leaning on the piano to support her wight since the fatigue was kicking in, "If you don't mind me doing so, I could walk you back to your room since I'm staying here too." Gentlewoman Arb tehe [/div][googlefont=Open+Sans]

[attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Her cheeks flushed it was strange. Strange to her to have people so excited to hear her voice, in her home it was pretty common for the woman at least to be very artist. A voice like hers wasn't all that great, at least that's what she thought. Always modest, always reserved Alethea had often held back from everyone and everything growing up. Even love was something elusive to her, her first kiss had never been romantic or filled with any emotion. To succeed in their tribe and to keep her people safe, from childhood she had been promised to another. Her life after that was her promised male trying to win her heart and when that didn't work it was more like clash of titans than a potential partner. Alethea rarely thought of him and even know when she knew her people were scattered and needed hope she found herself wanting the freedom she could taste in this village. Playing music just to entertain people, having people love music instead of worship the arts. At home she was the future ruler, her sisters too young to be potential candidates it fell onto her but even her sisters knew little of her past. The hunger she felt, the weakness she felt away from Lycoris. No other Rakuh felt this way, though their magic weakened they could survive, she felt her heart beating slower each day the pressure on her chest only increasing. 'If I'm to die at least I can bring some happiness to people who are alone and hurting.' A fleeting thought, she straightened her wrinkled clothing to modest and too clothed. She hated this clothing she missed her own. She stood from the piano's seat and just nodded walking closer to Arbella, almost forgetting everyone around her. Almost. Her eyes caught the waitress once again too focused on her, it wasn't infatuation... It was more sinister.. Like a predator catching its prey but Alethea was far from anyone's prey. She took Arbella's hand calmly and lead her upstairs, her cold skin felt nice against Arbella's warm hand. She listened to the waitress, smelt her scent down the stairs she wasn't following it was safe still. She hoped she was being cautious and just paranoid.. "Thank you for the company, I'm not used to being on my own truthfully." She leaned and kissed her cheek before heading to her door still listening and following where Arbella would go just in case. Her head hurt, it spun and she found herself weak but having a taste of freedom was worth it even if it meant staying awake the entire night. ✉ tag -- ( Mitichi ) ✎ 455 words ※ nxoxox >3< |

Arbella lingered at the door for a while, her hand moving to the place that Alethea kissed on her cheek. It was a surprise to her to say the least, how a girl she had just met that day had done such an action. Back at her home place, it would have been not heard of amongst people, even friends. At least from the family she came from. Though Arbella had to remind herself countless times that this was not her home, and people are complete strangers with a different childhood and upbringing. Something like a kiss on the cheek was probably normal for Alethea. It didn't stop Arbella from smiling however, and as she looked once more upon the door of Aletheas room she made her way back to her own, stepping inside and falling onto the bed. The mattress was hard, and the covers thin, providing little comfort to Arbella but the events of the night provided enough to counter the uncomfortable bed.
She closed her eyes, recalling everything that had happened. Alethea intrigued her, and she found herself interested about the lady more than she had been with other people that she met on her missions. Her beautiful voice, something that held so much more potential. Through her voice, Alethea managed to entrance Arbella, completely lost in the song and the atmosphere she gave off. Her voice, although outstanding, seemed like it was holding back, as if afraid to show everything to everyone, and the song, the song was like a letter itself. For someone special, someone that was far far away from Alethea, someone she missed. Whoever it was, I hope the song had reached them. Because it had defiantly reached her, and everyone else in the room. It had been the first time that Arbella had seen a room full of usually loud men and women go so silent in awe, and it was no surprise that only someone like Alethea could do it. She smiled, turning on her side to face the wall the bed was pressed against.
Though just like that her smile faded. Arbella couldn't be thinking like that, not when it was a girl she was thinking about and someone that she would only get information out of and leave. She groaned, turning once more. If her brother had seen her like this over someone, he wouldn't be as kind. Why would she even be so messed up in the first place. Arbella was only there to gather information and leave, like with everyone else, and Alethea is no different.
So lost in her thoughts, Arbella failed to notice the hour and almost didn't hear the footsteps that treaded not so quietly past her room. Who would be walking around at this hour? When she came into the inn, she swore that she had heard the lady informing her that there was a certain curfew. Was she wrong? Arbella stood up and opened her door slightly, glad that it didnt make any sound. She looked for the person, and saw the waitress from before walking in the direction of Aletheas room, the waitress that she had seen Alethea be weary of. Arbella frowned, quietly stepping out and following the waitress, doing a much better job of concealing her footsteps. She did not know what pulled her out of her room, but she took the excuse of the fact that she couldn't sleep and maybe that this could give her more information.

[attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ To her life had always been very simple, she live what life she had been gifted by the spirits and tried to live honestly. There was no need to hide who she was or what she wanted she was a free spirit. That thought was a joke, even before the aira attack as the daughter to inherit rule she had never been free. Though she was free to love and free to do as she wished she always did what was expected of her. Now in freedom all she wanted was to return to the cage where she became the person they wanted of her. Here she was free but she needed to hide, here being what she was would get her killed. ‘Be human’ that thought repeated over in her head but she had no idea how to be anything but an Ard’en a creature of mixed birth. Her Enther side craved for blood while the Rakuh wished for her spirit to be returned to her. She dropped onto the bed the world was spinning her heart raced so fast she feared it might explode. Laying alone in bed she finally understood how alone she was, her friends searching tirelessly for other rakuh for their spirits so they might be able to save her life. But Azelania was large and she was tiny in comparison how would she find her spirit where ever they had taken her. She knew her days were limited, she felt herself fading becoming one with the life force of Azelania. Tears streamed down her face, she didn’t want this.. Death wasn’t something anyone wanted but Alethea had already cheated it once she knew there would be no other chance. She rested an arm over her eyes blocking out the light her body weak and spinning. She couldn’t focus, she didn’t hear it. The door opening, footsteps approaching until a shadow cast over her body but her movements were slowed and a knife sank into her side as she just turned to get away just in time leaving a large cut on the side of her ribs. She knew she shouldn’t use her powers she knew and yet the desire to survive this moment was greater. She pushed herself up one hand holding the wound while the other extended towards the girl that had moved backward once she saw she had failed. She made the air around them thicker, it entered the girl’s body and she began choking and coughing stumbling backwards to get away from her, Alethea’s eyes glowing brightly her mixed matched eyes glaring at the girl as if she were about to devour her. Her eyes became bloodshot as she fought for air she was going to die if she remained in this room and she knew it. Alethea was panting, using magic was draining her. Her chest constricted until she finally let the magic fall away just as she fell back onto her bed panting, her body sweating as her fever only grew more severe. This was how she would die, alone after an assassination attempt bleeding to death. Her clothes were soaked in blood and sweat as was the bed, she would die here and the assassin would watch. ✉ tag -- ( Mitichi ) ✎ 539 words ※ YASSS |
